About Us
A NOTE FROM THE FIELD
My father was a Biologist and taught me a great deal about our natural environment. He also lived through the "great depression". He passed away this spring. We made a choice to assist grandma for the remainder of her years. This has caused us all to think daily about all the great experiences we have. Service to America has been my life lesson. One that I first heard at home and later as I became an Eagle Scout. The badges and awards were not the goal. The goal was to learn that we must contribute to our great land. That is what in fact makes America what it is. With this goal in mind I spent 17 years teaching Biology and History. All the time I was teaching I wanted to produce a product and give back to America. Life is a long path with many twists and turns. Now I use my Biology daily and produce a product.Our oldest son Erik has also heard the call to service.We are proud that he will be heading off to the Air Force after high school graduation this year. Now it is time for America to focus again on, well, AMERICA! One way to support America is to buy products made in America. I know that is not easy. But. it is something we need to do. I know our home made products "cost"more. But what really cost more is the loss of the inovative people and companies that they serve. I buy my work boots from a small company in Wisconsin. Yep, they cost more. But, they are well made and I know I helped families in America.
How does this relate to Christmas trees?
Well it is simple. We have a choice. We can buy "fake" trees that are made in a communist country that employs slaves at the rate of .35 cents an hour. These trees come from a country where food posioning and lead paint on toys is common. They(their Government) really do not care about the consumer or their own children. Therefore, why would they care about our kids?
You could buy a real tree produced in America by Americans. Your money stays here and you have supported your country.
To me it is a simple choice.

A NOTE FROM THE
FIELD 2009.
What a difference a year makes!
This year kind of reminds me of the early 1980's. I was working 3 part time jobs at 19 years old. I was making a whopping 5.35 per/hour. Soon I had guys that were twice my age working with me. They were "laid off' from the mega-corporation. Even at 19 I was aware that things were not right.
If you were around then you may remember a little known company that pushed the slogan"BUY AMERICAN". Soon this little retail company from the south was really making good sense. Of course we should buy American! So we did. This little company was a factor in moving us out of the tough times. There were other factors but this company really touched us.
Well times have changed. The little company is a MEGA retailer. They no longer push to "Buy American". In fact there is very little that one could buy from this company today that is American.
WHAT HAPPENED?
I do not have the space to offer my observation however, I can say that we need to BUY AMERICAN again! If you have a "fake" tree or no tree I urge you to buy a real one this year. Give it a try or do it again. The farmers who grow and sell real trees are just like you and me. They are American. They care about our country and our people. You can meet them. They are real people.
These good people are not the ones to avoid.
They are not charging 20-30 % interest! They are not selling cheap foreign products that could be toxic and will break soon. I could go on.
THESE ARE GOOD HARD WORKING AMERICANS LIKE YOU.
WE NEED TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER. NOW MORE THAN EVER. It is not about money. It is about our childrens and grand childrens future. When you buy a REAL TREE YOU SUPPORT AMERICANS. YOUR BUSINESS, OUR BUSINESS IS ALL OF OUR BUSINESS.
Support an American farmer this year. I hope you come to our farm. But if you don't please support an American!
On this note if you have a business you own let us know. We will gladly promote your enterprise.
Come out and bring the kids. They will never forget the "giant horses".
This year enjoy the smell of a real tree and take yourself back to a simpler time.
