Fall and Halloween

Our activities are second to none! For family fun you will not find a better deal for under $15.00.  The 'Trick-or-Treat Trail" offers each child a hayrack ride through the woods where they will meet happy characters passing out candy.  Then the ride ends in our pumpkin patch where each child gets to pick one pumpkin.  With lots of fun included!   All for $4.00 per child. 

For the more brave and daring we invite you to join us for our night activity "Night of Fright Down on the Farm" ; which is the best value in Northern Illinois.  No one will out match our price or our ride.  This activity is also available without the fright but still with all the fun.  Scheduled by reservation only to parties of 50 or more.

Christmas

Please join us for visits from Santa Claus, Donald Duck, and Winnie the Pooh.  Enjoy relaxing hay rack rides out to choose your perfect Christmas tree or choose from our new fresh cut forest.  For more information, please visit our Christmas page.

Farm News and Tips for Your Visit

Welcome and Merry Christmas!

We are glad you came to our web site.  Christmas is a very joyous time of the year.  We have the best in real Christmas products.  Our trees are safe with no lead paint and for three years we have not sprayed chemicals on them.  We are Americans, with a family just like yours.  We respect you and we produce only the best American products!  We are very glad to have the opportunity to offer you and your family the best total Christmas experience.  Please read the tips below prior to your visit to the farm.  They will help you and your loved ones enjoy the day more fully.

1. Come out with the experience in mind.  This is a once a year opportunity to spend family time together choosing just the right Christmas tree.

2.Dress for the weather.  It can be windy and cold out in the country.

3.Enjoy the experience.  Realize that real trees are fresh and often heavy.  Be patient while our family gets your tree ready.  We welcome you to come inside and warm up with free hot cocoa and cider.

4.If you have a long drive, we recommend you purchase 10 foot ratchet straps (hardware stores and any stores with hardware carry them) .  These will keep your tree secured safely for the journey home.

5.Have Fun!  As we mentioned above, this is a once a year opportunity to work and play together.  The wonderful memories created together at the farm will be passed along to many generations and cherished in the hearts of those who experienced this priceless family time.

Who We Are

Our Holiday Farm was purchased by Dave and Jackie Nusbaumer in May of 2004.  The farm was formerly known as "Our Christmas Tree Farm".  The farm has been expanded to include Fall events, such as, a pumpkin patch and "friendly" and "haunted" hayrack rides.  We also conduct fun and educational adventure programs for students and organizations.

We operate our farm as a family farm where we are all involved.  We are committed to bringing you great products and family activities at a fair price.  We realize with a large family (we have 5 children) that things can get costly.  Therefore, when you come to our farm we are certain that you will not find a better place to spend family time!
